Amit Sha'al is an Israeli photographer and videographer, currently based in New Delhi, India. He has more than 20 years of experience in almost every photography aspect: Portraits, documentaries, news, live shows, food, sports, wildlife, events, families, fashion, design, etc. In the past 8 years, Amit is also a videographer filming journalistic stories for news websites. In 2022 his first film as a cinematographer - “Elik&Jimmy” ("My Fat Friend") - was released and won 2 major awards at the International Haifa Film Festival.
Amit also works on short and long photography projects, most of them dealing with social issues. His photographs have been featured in magazines and newspapers in Israel and abroad and were awarded in various photo contests, including the "World Press Photo" 2011 and Series of the Year in "Local Testimony", Israel's press photo contest. Sha'al held 2 solo exhibitions, "The Bridge", in Tel Aviv and Kilcullen, Ireland, and “Altneuland”, in Getxo, Spain. He has participated in photography festivals and many group exhibitions around the globe.
